I'm sure the topic has been discussed before, but I still colliding vehicles IMHO needs some attention WP wise.
Ramming a LAV with a tank in order to destroy it.
Ramming a dropship with another dropship in order to destroy it.

You get the point, erh sorry no you don't get the a point out of it.
..and that's the problem. Sure if you run infantry over with vehicles you get WP for killing them, but destroying enemy vehicles in the same manner does not gain you anything. Sometimes this action is also more or less mandatory like yesterday when I was patrolling the skies with my dropship and observed red DS in the process of parking itself with the hopes of gaining superior position over the objective (domination). So I did the only thing that I had available to me to prevent this from happening and rammed it to the ground. Yes the red DS fell from the sky as intended while mine still survived to keep on patrolling the skies some more and yet not yielding any WP for me or my squad. No WP at all although this act in the very beginning of the match had a huge impact on the outcome of the battle as the red team failed to gain the access to the key position on the map. |

How's that different from destroying the vehicle with swarms, forge guns, railguns etc. Destroying them with weapons is as intentional as it is with ramming them with a purpose. Ramming just doesn't give any WP. Now if vehicle destruction wouldn't yield any points at all, meaning that you'd get only WP for killing players, I'd be just fine with that.
So why is it that for some reason some methods destroying vehicles is "better" and yield WP than some other methods that don't?
Although it is evident that this idea of using heavily armored and highly damage resistant dropship as a battering ram to bring down other dropships is repulsive to you, please try not to take it to a personal level and leave such BS out from your posts. |
